Job Summary :
The HR Manager will oversee all human resource functions within the MEP contracting organization, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, labor compliance, training, and strategic HR planning. The role requires a proactive, hands-on leader capable of aligning HR strategies with the company’s project and business objectives in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company’s goals.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for technical and non-technical roles, especially for MEP project-based manpower (engineers, supervisors, technicians, etc.).
- Oversee onboarding, induction, and orientation of new employees to ensure smooth integration into the company.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records, contracts, and HR databases.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution in accordance with labor laws.
- Manage payroll inputs, leave records, attendance systems, and employee benefits in coordination with the accounts/payroll department.
- Monitor workforce deployment across projects and ensure optimal manpower allocation.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and other regulatory requirements.
- Plan and coordinate training programs for skill development and performance improvement.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
- Lead performance appraisal cycles and assist department heads in performance-related decisions.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads for project-specific HR needs.
- Prepare HR reports and dashboards for management review.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction/MEP industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices in the industry/region.
- Proven experience in managing a blue-collar and white-collar workforce.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS/ERP software.
Preferred Qualifications :
- MBA in HR.
- Experience in manpower planning for large-scale MEP or construction projects.
